Rotisserie Chicken



  • 1 whole chicken 

  • 1 TB Olive oil or avocado oil 

  • 1 cup of water or broth 


  1. Clean chicken and pat dry 

  2. Turn on the saute function of the Instant Pot 

  3. Add 1 TB of olive oil or avocado oil 

  4. When the instant pot reads hot, place the chicken breast side down, and saute for approximately 4 minutes 

  5. Flip the chicken over and saute for additional 3 minutes 

  6. Press cancel on the instant pot 

  7. Insert the metal trivet under the chicken 

  8. Add the cup of broth or water 

  9. Place lid on instant pot, lock and seal 

  10. Set the manual function for 25 minutes 

  11. When done, naturally release pressure for 10 minutes, then move the valve to vent 

  12. When all the pressure is released, remove chicken and shred with two forks
